The requirements for a Bachelors of Fine Arts at Utah Valley University is demanding. During a student's senior year of college, you are required to
take two semesters of classes
work directly with a professor
create 12-15 illustrations
organize an art exhibit for your illustrations
I worked in with three of my fellow students to produce the art exhibit. We displayed all of our pieces that we had been working on throughout the year.
I decided to do my project on the myth of Psyche and Eros with a sci-fi twist. I chose to do character designs for the main characters of the story, Psyche, Eros, Venus, and Persephone.
The focus of this project was on characters and costume design. In order to flesh out the concept of the world, I took scenes from the story to illustrate. In addition, to these scenes, I also illustrated additional side characters related to the myth.
